The release in brief: 

Improvements of Modbus API 

In version 5.8 we have made it possible to set import/export thresholds via Modbus, which can be relevant, for example, when you want to prevent export when electricity prices are negative through external integrations. You can read about other changes below.

Modbus API

  • Grid limit control added to API, enabling setting of import/export thresholds in the same manner as through the portal.
  • Battery control reworked to have more intuitive usage with several batteries
  • Battery control reworked to use same back-end configuration as portal
  • Now EMS configuration changes through Modbus will be visible and compatible with EMS control through the portal and will be saved when EMS configuration changes are made via the portal.

  • Improved cell balancing for Pylontech
  • Improved DC grid stability in the transitions between self consumption/peak shaving modes and manually discharging batteries


Ancillary services FCR-D

Added an initial baseline value for certification test purposes
