Why do you recommend fuse class B in your manuals for the installation of an EnergyHub?

*NOTE: The information below is directed towards installers. Only trained electricians are allowed to install Ferroamp’s products.

Answer:

Circuit breakers of type B trip when the current is 3 to 5 times higher than the rated current. Circuit breakers of type C trip when the current is 5 to 10 times higher than the rated current.

Type B breakers are primarily for household use, while type C breakers are for industrial applications where short circuits are common and wiring is installed accordingly.

Therefore, type C breakers can be used in an EnergyHub installation if accepted by the electrician performing the installation.
