What is the maximum cable size that can be connected to an EnergyHub?

*NOTE: The information below is directed towards installers. Only trained electricians are allowed to install Ferroamp’s products.

Answer:

The maximum cable size that can be connected to an EnergyHub depends on the model of the product and can be seen in the datasheet for each model, which you can find here. After that, both an AC cable and a DC cable are connected to each EnergyHub, so the maximum size of these cables may differ. This is because there are different voltage levels on the AC (400V) and DC sides (760V).

Example:

An EnergyHub 21 kW Wall has a maximum input of:

  • AC side for a 10 mm2 cable
  • DC side for a 10 mm2 cable

An EnergyHub Wall 21kW has a maximum output of 30.34A, but 34A can flow in the neutral conductor. Therefore, at least a 6mm2 cable is required.
