Can solar panels be connected to SSO:s when the DC grid is live?

*NOTE: The information below is directed towards installers. Only trained electricians are allowed to install Ferroamp’s products.  


Answer:


No, solar panels should never be connected to the SSO when the DC network is powered on. Either the EnergyHub system should be turned off, or the DC breaker in the DC distribution should be open. Never rely on isolation components without verification, always check before starting work.
