How much power and storage capacity do I get from a battery?

Answer:

This depends on the type of battery in question and how many ESOs (Energy Storage Optimizers) are connected to the battery. In some batteries sold by Ferroamp, the ESOs are placed outside the battery, and in some larger batteries, the ESOs are built into the battery cabinet.


A battery is always written with two numbers. The first number represents the storage capacity in kWh (kilowatt-hours) of the battery, and the second number represents the power output in kW (kilowatts) that you get from the battery, which is written last.


For example, ESS 7/4 means 7 kWh of storage capacity and 4 kW of power output.

For an ESS battery where ESOs are placed outside the battery itself, the configuration of the number of battery modules and ESOs is seen in the table. Depending on the battery's configuration (number of ESO Modules and ESS Battery Modules), the system has the following storage capacity and maximum power output:
