How do I connect my EV charger to the EnergyHub?

*NOTE: The information below is directed towards installers. Only trained electricians are allowed to install Ferroamp’s products.  


Answer: 


To activate the OCPP function, the following steps need to be performed:


Router Settings:

  • Assign a static/fixed IP address for the EnergyHub in your router. If you need assistance with this, refer to the manual for your router or contact your router provider.
  • Do not set a static/fixed IP address in the EnergyHub display.


Charger Settings:

  • For Zaptec Go: Add Ferroamp as a user in Zaptec's system using the following link: Ferroamp - Grant access.
  • For other charging stations: Change the endpoint to the following: ws://IP-of-EnergyHub-or-Display:9000 (e.g., ws://192.168.1.225:9000)
  • For previous integration with CTEK, also deactivate "Available currents" in the charging box portal and change Nanogrid load balancing to "None" under Configuration -> Network.


The following information needs to be provided to Ferroamp Support to activate the function:

  • Chargepoint ID (found in the charger's portal)
  • Does the charger have one or two outlets? 
  • Size of your main fuse?
  • Manufacturer and model of the charger? (see supported models here)


Submit a ticket to Ferroamp Support


Depending on the manufacturer, the charger manufacturer's app may not be able to communicate with the charger after the integration is activated. However, the car's app will continue to function as before.
