Answer:
ESOs cannot be connected to batteries other than those sold by Ferroamp. This is because there is currently no standardized communication protocol for BMS.
For the ESO to control the battery, it requires the ability to communicate with the battery's BMS. This requires a software integration with the specific BMS. For this reason, the ESO can only control batteries sold by Ferroamp.
